I spent much of my career in the U.S. military in both cyber and intelligence roles; I now pursue doctoral research at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies as an Alperovitch PhD Fellow. My final military assignment was as an Army Captain with the Cyber National Mission Force at U.S. Cyber Command.

My dissertation research explores the history of destructive cyber attacks known as wipers. My broader research includes cyber conflict and artificial intelligence in national security. I conduct research from a Christian perspective and am particularly interested in how the Christian intellectual tradition can inform debates about technology, human flourishing, and social order.​
